The Intel Quark™ Microcontroller Developer Kit D2000 is a small-form-factor board for development of designs using the new low-power Intel® Quark™ microcontroller D2000. The board contains the MCU with flash storage, a professional 6-axis compass / accelerometer with a temperature sensor and Arduino Uno compatible shield's interface. To program the new microcontroller you will use Intel® System Studio for Microcontroller which is a complete tool suite based on an Eclipse IDE. This complimentary tool suite contains a compiler system, libraries, as well as a JTAG-based debugger through a standard USB interface.
The tool suite features a board support package enabling developers using the common Intel® Quark™ Microcontroller Software Interface (QMSI) to access low-level hardware features on the D2000 and future processors through a well-designed API set. Included is the Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives Library for Microcontroller providing performance critical routines, as well as an encryption library for secure data connections.
